Brooklyn duo The Last Royals offer a stadium-sized pop-rock sound that is much too big to fit inside Brooklyn — so I’m predicting that they break out into the wide world very soon. ”Only the Brave” is the band’s best song to date, hailing from a 3-song preview EP that they will release in October, which presages their full-length debut album Twistification, out in January 2013.
The band are picking up momentum, and this kind of pop-rock is starting to become popular once again — just check out newer singles like Walk the Moon‘s “Anna Sun” or The Killers‘ “Runaways.” Well, “Only the Brave” is as memorable and anthemic as either of those tracks, and you should definitely take a listen below.
