Hear a new B-side from WATERS, the energetic indie rocker “If Only” [MP3]

Even though we’d previously covered a couple of songs from ex-Port O’Brien frontman Van Pierszalowski’s new project WATERS, I didn’t actually give his September 2011 debut full-length Out in the Light a listen until I found album closer “Mickey Mantle” a few weeks ago.  I love the album’s earnest indie rock, and if I could re-do my list of the Top 30 Albums of 2011, I would add Out in the Light before any other.

Now WATERS has released a new B-side from the sessions for Out in the Light.  It’s called “If Only,” and it roars along with surf rock-tinted energy that recalls Wavves or Fang Island.  It’s a great listen, and I highly recommend visiting the iTunes page for Out in the Light if you like it.

Previously: “Mickey Mantle,” “O Holy Break of Day,” “For the One
