We first heard Erika Spring (a.k.a. Erica Forster, singer and keyboardist for Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone) last year, when her three-minute indie pop masterpiece “6 More Weeks“ landed on our Top 100 Songs of 2011. And now, on July 10, she returns with an eponymous five-song EP.
While “Hidden,” which appears on that EP, may not be quite the addictive, immediate affair that “6 More Weeks” was, it bears its own charm behind that constant, hopping beat. The synths rise and swell along with Spring’s voice, as if they’re part of it, but they never overwhelm it. You can listen to the song and download it for free below.
