God, we’ve got a lot of weird news for you this week. Lady Gaga makes a few appearances, as usual; Robert Pattinson (Edward from Twilight) wants to record an album; and Adele‘s ex-boyfriend wants royalties merely because he inspired her hit album 21 – but we’ve also got a few free MP3 downloads as well!
As usual, we also inform you of the latest on the Billboard charts in our “CHARTWATCH” section, as well as noting the FAILs and WINs of the week, and letting you know about newly-announced upcoming release dates at the end of the news survey. And since there’s so much to get to, without further ado, we present…the news survey:
- CHARTWATCH: Adele has held off the new Beastie Boys album (#2), the new Fleet Foxes album (#4), the new J-Lo album (#5), and the new Stevie Nicks album (#6) for the top spot on the Billboard 200 — yet again.
- FAIL: Speaking of Adele, evidently her ex-boyfriend wants royalties from 21 because many of the songs are inspired by their relationship…
- FAIL: Robert Pattinson wants to record music? STOP IT WITH THE FAILS.

- 30 Seconds to Mars might be breaking up, and Your Best Friend are (who cares?). But Rory are getting back together, so…yeah.
