Paris-based experimentalists CocoRosie are gearing up to release a new single entitled “We are on Fire” b/w “Tearz for Animals” on June 5, but we’ve got it to stream a month ahead of time. I’ve never been a big fan of the band (and neither have most critics — all four of their albums have been widely panned, none of them receiving more than 67 on Metacritic), but this five-minute offering has more soul than it wears on its tumbling, nasally sleeve. If you can get past the weirdness, you might be listening to this one for awhile. Enjoy!
