According to Canadian punk rockers Billy Talent, “Our generation is a fucking joke” — and I must say that I agree with the sentiment, if not the quote itself. Billy Talent have been writing razor-sharp criticisms of society and life for three albums now, and after the band’s most recent album, 2009′s Billy Talent III, disappointed me as well as many other fans [read my review], the group seem to be back on their game for their fourth release, Dead Silence, due out on September 7.
We already heard the furious track “Viking Death March,” probably my favorite punk rock song of 2012 so far, and now Billy Talent have revealed the sarcastic “Surprise Surprise,” yelling, “You’re much better looking in disguise.” As far as America goes, that’s certainly true. Listen below.
