Stars announce new LP The North, drop the creative “The Theory of Relativity”

Canadian electropop act Stars seem to have diversified a bit on their new single “The Theory of Relativity,” at least compared to the band’s 2010 release The Five Ghosts [read our review].  While that album had a copious amount of catchy melodies, the songs nearly all seemed to fall flat, even addictive singalong “We Don’t Want Your Body.”

But the band’s newest, the first single from their upcoming album The North, out September 4, is much more dynamic — although it sacrifices outright dance beats for something less contagious but much longer-lasting: creativity.  I think it’s a grower.  Stream the song below!
