Canadian electropop act Stars seem to have diversified a bit on their new single “The Theory of Relativity,” at least compared to the band’s 2010 release The Five Ghosts [read our review]. While that album had a copious amount of catchy melodies, the songs nearly all seemed to fall flat after a dozen or two dozen listens, even the addictive singalong “We Don’t Want Your Body.”
And now that we’ve heard “The Theory of Relativity,” the band have released another track off of The North, which is out September 4. The lengthily-titled “Hold On When You Get Love and Let Go When You Give It” is a bit of dynamic, mature electropop whose title explains all you need to know about the song’s philosophy and lyrics. It’s probably my favorite Stars track to date. Listen below!
