Summer Camp visit the “City” on their new thumping indie pop earworm

We always love some new music from British indie poppers Summer Camp, and the band will follow up their 2011 debut release Welcome to Condale [read our review] with the Always EP on July 9.  We’ve already heard “Life” and “Always,” two kickass tracks from the release, and now there’s a third — and possibly my favorite so far — the thumping earworm “City.”  It’s even got a short rap bridge, right before the band launch back into the chorus: “The city was waiting for us.”

The song is great, but Summer Camp (and/or their label, Moshi Moshi) seem to have an aversion to giving away free MP3s, something that does them a serious disservice in the modern world.  Get with the program and give your fans some free music!

Previously: “Always,” “Life,” our Welcome to Condale review, “Better Off Without You,” “Nobody Knows You
