By all rights, it should be wholly unsettling to hear Andrew W.K.‘s 2001 hard rock hit “Party Hard” turned into a soothing, beautifully harmonized neo-folk tune… but instead, it’s rather settling. L.A. indie band Grouplove, who are finding some success with their current summer-anthem single “Tongue Tied” (off of the band’s 2011 debut release Never Trust a Happy Song), skillfully tone down the fist-pumping rock and invoke less partying with alcohol and more partying with pot. Isn’t that the best kind, anyway?
