Yellowcard’s first official single from Southern Air, “Here I Am Alive”

Evidently, the first two songs that we heard from violin-toting pop-punkers Yellowcard‘s new album, the August 14 release Southern Air, weren’t official singles.  Too bad, because “Here I Am Alive” is easily the least memorable of the three, as well as the least energetic.  Rather than being mature, it acts mature.  Oh well.  It’s still another solid tune from the resurgent group.  Listen below and hold your breath for the album, which may very well be the best pop-punk release of the year!

Previously: “Always Summer,” “Awakening,” “Oh My Love (John Lennon cover),” “E.T. (Katy Perry cover),” “For You, and Your Denial,” “Hang You Up,” our When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes review
